BUS operator First is giving customers the opportunity to help celebrate the Golden Jubilee by offering free travel.
On Monday, anyone buying an adult FirstDay ticket, costing £2.50 and valid on all First bus services in Greater Manchester, will be able to take along a friend for free.
Garry Ravem, North-west divisional director, said: "This offer means more people will be able to get out and about on June 3, visiting family and friends."
A Sunday timetable will be operating on June 3. Full details can be obtained by calling the Greater Manchester Public Transport Information Line on 0161 228 7811, or by looking at www.firstgroup.com
The free travel offer is also being offered in each of the 40 towns and cities served by First bus services across the UK, however, the local day ticket must be bought to qualify.
