THE cream of the town's acoustic musicians take to the stage at an all-day barbecue on Sunday.
Entertainment at Bolton's newest venue for live music, the Dog and Partridge, in Bank Street, starts at 1.40pm and goes on until evening closing time.
Performers include Paul Crompton, David Lomax, Rachel Appleton, Bow Echo unplugged, Nick Jackson, Kevin Bates, John McKay, Ian Davies and the band Horseweed. There is also an informal slot for various artists including the cult Breightmet jazz singer Dave Sharples. Admission is free.
Meanwhile, interest informal acoustic sessions on Friday evenings at the Dog and Partridge has taken off. The music starts at 8pm and performers who want to play are advised to arrive early.
