IN Section A, DB3 and Howcroft continued their unbeaten runs, both having clear cut victories.
Only goal difference gives DB3 the lead. The showdown comes in two weeks time when these undefeated teams meet. Redskins and Sharples Yellow remain the only other teams with 100 per cent records.
Compelling viewing was the opinion of the spectators who watched the Tyldesley v Russell and Russell drawn match.
Level at half time, both defences worked overtime to keep the scoring opportunities to a minimum. In a low scoring game Emma Heap for Tyldesley and C Morrison for Russells were the pillars of strength.
An almost carbon copy game was played out in Section D. Royal Mail and Bolton Metro traded goal for goal in a hotly contested match. With the scores again level at half time, the pace never let up and 21-21 was a fair result.
