A MOTHER-of-two has gone football crazy after winning a competition to watch England play in Japan.
Christine Law, of Swinton, won the dream trip to the World Cup for two and had to choose whether to take her son or daughter. However, 16-year-old Alexander was taking a GCSE exam at Bury Grammar School on the day his mother flew out, handing the seat on the plane to his sister Katie, aged 20, a student.
Christine is a partner in Hallmark Investments in Mawdesley Street, Bolton. A Manchester United supporter, she will watch England play Sweden on Sunday and then enjoy a seven-day stay in Tokyo.
Pictured with Christine, right, are Jon Hall, of investment group Skandia Life which organised the contest, and Tiparat Howarth, of the Teppanyaki Restaurant in Manchester's Chinatown where the presentation took place.
The national competition was run by Skandia Life, a protection, pensions and investment group, for independent financial advisors.
