I INDEED agree with Mr J Boydell with regard to the euro.
I am disheartened at Tony Blair being a Europhile and I haven't voted in recent times. I cannot for the life of me think of anyone in Britain being in favour of it.
The less we have to do with that lot the better, as they've been nothing but trouble due to the likes of those previously mentioned by Mr Boydell.
I know Mr Boydell quite well, and more than 10 years ago he came to my house to see my car which interested him. He certainly has his faculties and is quite sprightly.
To accept the euro is an effrontery to all who fought for the freedom we have enjoyed in the past. My father, three uncles, and some cousins did their bit in no uncertain terms.
Now I and like-minded people feel that this freedom is being eroded. I was furious to find a 30mph sign with 48kph daubed on it near Kirkham. What people can do this?
I have already sent a petition off to some anti-euro campaigners from down South. I will be coming around with another petition shortly.
What kind of people are willing to stoically accept such a dictate? Furthermore, there are plans by the Euro member states to pull an old pals act to get us to drive on the right side of the road. Are we willing to accept this? Not on your Nellie!
Our "freedom" was worth fighting for, and I always have my two minutes' silence on Remembrance Sunday as I've done since my junior school days.
