BOLTON bowling stalwart Jean Haydock has received the prestigious honour of being elected president of Lancashire Ladies Inter-Town Bowling League.
It is rare feat for anybody to be given this position as the presidency only comes to each town within the Lancashire League once every 10 years.
Bolton has been bowling in the inter-town league for around 40 years and Mrs Haydock has been a member of the Bolton team for half that time.
Success on the green is no stranger to her. She plays for Westhoughton Reform Club which has won the Bolton league every year for the last two decades and she is pictured with some of the trophies she has won down the years. Her first function in the role will be her president's day which will include a bowling handicap at Bolton's Green Lane Bowling Club on June 30.
