SERVICES for people with learning disabilities in Leigh and Atherton have been classed as 'high quality' by a team of Government inspectors.
The report from the Social Services Inspectorate found that Wigan Council served most people well and showed excellent prospects for improvement.
It also concluded that the staff involved with the Learning Disability Service showed a high degree of commitment and that managers were successful in motivating the workforce to produce a good "record of achievement."
The latest report follows on from a similarly successful inspection of services for older people which took place last year.
