THE Rotary Club of Turton's 11th annual duck race will be held on Sunday at Bradshaw Brook in Bradshaw.
The popular event next to the cricket club will start at 11am. Funds from ticket sales will go to help many local charities, including Bolton and St Anne's hospices and Derian House Children's Hospice.
This year organisers are also trying to raise funds for the Royal Bolton Hospital's Coronary Care Unit Appeal.
Organisers say they are well on track to reach a target of £3,000 for the Bolton Evening News-backed campaign.
Last year the duck race raised more than £8,000. First prize this year is a £1,000 family holiday donated by Village Travel in Bromley Cross. A special free children's race will also be held.
A spokesman said: "We hope this year's race is as successful as other years, raising thousands of pounds for local causes." For details contact the Rotary Club of Turton on 01204 395157.
