A RANGE of activities have been organised in Bolton to mark Carers Week, starting on June 10. The theme for this year's event is "Carers in the Communities".
On Tuesday, June 11, an open day for carers is being held at Thicketford Community Care Centre in Thicketford Road, from 10am. Visitors will be able to find out about Bolton's Polish and Ukranian communities through music, costume and food. There will also be information stands, an art display and details of services for carers. The Asian Carers Forum is holding an open afternoon at Willows Community Centre, off Caledonia Street, on the same day from noon.
On Wednesday, June 12, Bolton Carers Support group have organised a trip to Oswaldtwistle Mills. The coach leaves Deansgate Post Office at 10.30am and sets off back at 2.30pm. Each carer will also be given £3 to spend on lunch or shopping. To book a place call 01204 363056.
Bolton Carers Support is holding an open day at its new offices in 23 Chorley New Road on Thursday, June 13, from 1pm.
On Saturday, June 15, an information day has been organised in Victoria Square from 10am.
