THE first photograph of Danielle Elizabeth Moorcroft whose young life brutally ended on a Bolton car park has just been released.

Prostitute Danielle, aged 21, was found with severe head injuries by another vice girl behind Bolton Community College, off Lower Bridgeman Street.

Friends have described Danielle -- who was 14 weeks pregnant -- as a "lovely person who would not hurt a fly".

Murder squad detectives believe she was killed at the scene and today, as an incident room was set up to investigate the murder, police appealed for anyone who knew her to come forward.

They believe her friends, punters and other prostitutes will have vital clues to help them to find her killer.

One said: "I am so shocked. I don't think it has sunk in yet. There are not many of the other girls I would stand and spend time with, but I would with her."

She added: "I just hope they catch the killer because he's an animal."

Danielle is believed to have moved to Bolton from Liverpool around two years ago.

She was thin, about 5ft 7ins tall, and had a pale complexion. She had shoulder-length dark brown hair swept back into a ponytail.

On the night she was killed, Danielle was wearing a blue roll-neck sweater with a pink nylon top, black trousers and Lacoste trainers. She had a butterfly tattoo and a tattoo of a unicorn's head.

A post-mortem examination proved inconclusive and further tests were still being carried out today.
