THERE was good and bad news for Wanderers on World Cup duty today.
Denmark midfielder Stig Tofting has trained for almost an hour, raising hopes that he will be fit to play in his team's second World Cup group A game against Senegal tomorrow (7.30am).
But French midfielder Youri Djorkaeff underwent medical tests in a Seoul hospital and is doubtful for the team's World Cup group A match against Uruguay (12.30pm).
Tough-tackling midfielder Tofting injured his left foot during the opening 2-1 win over Uruguay, initially fearing a broken bone, but now appears likely to take his place in the middle for the game in Taegu.
If he does not make it, Claus Jensen - another former Wanderer - is the likely replacement.
Djorkaeff is nursing a painful groin and has only been able to take part in
light training sessions since being substituted during the second half of the Senegal match in which he was handed Zinedine Zidane's playmaking role.
