BOLTON MEP Chris Davies has urged the European Commission to open up the international car market.
The Lib Dem consumer affairs spokesman says greater competition would slash British car prices, which are a third higher than the rest of Europe. He said: "Car manufacturers have far too much influence over car prices and they have had their own way for much too long. Action needs to be taken to make sure car buyers here start getting a fair deal."
