REGULARS at Hart Common pub in Westhoughton raised more than £700 for their community chest during their Golden Jubilee party.
They had tombola stalls, face painting, fancy dress and a karaoke. Now they hope to use the cash to organise events for children and pensioners during the rest of the year.
Westhoughton Mayor Jo Worthington, who got the festivities underway, said: "We had a wonderful day. The people of Hart Common have a great sense of community spirit and their hard work deserves to be recognised."
