IN the Bolton Darts League in aid of The Bolton Senior Gateway Club for Mentally Handicapped Adults, the Ladies and Men's Winter League format has been completed.
There were eight sections playing five at the Moonlight Club, St Georges Road and three at The Albert, Derby Street. There were 10 players in each section. The top three players will receive money and silver trays in each section. Winners will receive £100, runners-up £50, third £30 with all other ladies and men players receiving a silver salver.
There were seven competitions run through the season: Ladies and Men's Round the Board, Pairs, Individuals and Mixed Pairs. In each of these events prize money and plaques will be given.
The league makes an abudance of money for the charity the league supports, The Bolton Senior Gateway Club -- a cheque for £1108 -- of which £1000 was raised by all ladies and men darts players who were involved in the 2000/01 Winter League format. The other £108 was raised by Mick Meanley.
