CHORLEY adults have been getting their teeth into a new campaign being run by the Learning and Skills Council.
Called Bite Size Intros, folk are taking advantage of a short, sharp and successful taste of education, proving you're never too old to learn.
Future events include Parachute Games and Circus Skills at the Anderton Centre, New Road, Anderton, tomorrow (June 14) at 2pm, and Read with your Kids at Chorley Library on Tuesday, June 18, at 1pm.
The campaign runs until June 21.
Last year the initiative attracted more than 1,500 adults throughout Lancashire, many of whom had not taken part in learning since school and helped them find fun and rewarding new skills.
A spokesperson for the Learning and Skills Council, which was launched in April last year, said: "Bite Size Intros offers free courses for one, two or three hours on a wide range of subjects and in a variety of venues, from colleges and pubs to village halls and supermarkets."
The Learning and Skills Council is responsible for all post-16 education in England, other than the university sector.
Its vision is that by 2010, young people and adults in England will have knowledge and productive skills matching the bets in the world.
