THE Parish Church of St Mary the Virgin, Leigh, is holding three open days in aid of its Tower Appeal.
There will be an opportunity to find out about the 800-year history both of the church and the town.
A programme of events has been organised and including the "Memory Avenue of Trees" and "Memory Trail", competitions, quizzes, tours of the church and its treasures, and an opportunity to see something of the work of the church and parish today.
The event takes place Friday June 14 and Saturday from 10am-4pm.
