IN conjunction with Bolton Canine Society, Bolton Metro is playing host to the town's greatest indoor dog show in the sports hall at Deane Community Leisure Centre on August 11 at 9.30am.

Originally held at Bolton Sports Centre until the closure of the centre when it was transferred to Deane, this well established dog show has proved to be extremely popular, with more than 800 people attending the society's two shows each year, the other one being the now famous New Year's Day show.

According to Bolton Canine Society, this 137 class show covering 34 different breeds of dogs and 10 variety classes is expecting to be bigger and better than ever!

Running for more than 100 years, the show offers a chance to see up to 500 top pedigree dogs competing to achieve prestigious titles including Best of Breed.

Best in show category is usually between 3pm and 4pm and automatically qualifies for Crufts 2003. The annual event is open to all the family at a small charge and refreshments will also be available.

There will be a tombola, raffle and all dog exhibitors will be automatically entered into a free cash entry draw.

For further information and an entry form contact organiser Michael Hardman on 01772 615824 or the reception at Deane Community Leisure Centre on 01204 334432 (after 5pm)

Please note all entries must be in by July 15.
