LIFE is not getting any easier for Farnworth and Eagley at the bottom of the table.
They could only muster totals of 96 and 86 respectively in going down to heavy defeats.
At one stage Eagley did not appear to be in serious trouble at 51-1 until Heaton's John Fearick came in to take three wickets in an over which turned the total into 54-4.
Worse was to follow as Heaton pro Narendra Hirwani picked up four wickets in five balls which saw Eagley slump from 85-5 to 85-9. The wickets of Brent Richards, Duncan Gleave and Craig Massey earned Narendra the hat-trick while Gareth Prendergast managed to last one ball before he became the fourth victim.
Heaton then completed their victory with ease, Farohk Neki hitting 46 out of their 87-3, Eagley's only consolation coming from the fact that the three wickets were all taken by third team captain Danny Counsell.
At Farnworth it was the bowling combination of Mark Stewart and pro Robin Morris that won the game for Greenmount. Stewart had five wickets for 35 and Morris 4-44 with Marsh's 44 the only real scoring contribution to the Farnworth total. Greenmount then completed a six wicket win with Jimmy Horrox hitting 47 not out in their score of 100-4.
