FARNWORTH TOWN HALL, COMMUNITY ROOMS, Market Street, Farnworth, BL4 7PD
Farnworth Town Hall houses a Community Room and meetings room, and can be accessed by a separate entrance at the rear. Other facilities available include a kitchen refreshment area and toilets. The Town Hall is wheelchair accessible, has lifts, disabled toilets and easy opening doors. Car parking is limited.

Carnegie Hall is located on the first floor, and is accessible by a lift or stairs. The Hall contains a licensed bar and kitchen area. Other facilities include ground floor toilets and a disabled toilet; these are shared with the Library. There is ample parking nearby.
DAISY HILL COMMUNITY CENTRE, Hindley Road, Westhoughton, BL5 2JS
This centre houses a main hall with adjacent meeting room equipped with sliding partition door. There is also a separate upstairs meeting room. Other facilities include kitchen, toilets and a disabled toilet. The centre is wheelchair accessible with a level entrance. There is also ample free adjacent parking.

For unique views into the aquatic world visit Bolton Aquarium, where there are fish on display from all over the world, some of which are highly threatened in their natural habitats. From Piranhas to Pufferfish, huge Catfish to tiny Tetras, there are hundreds of fish to come and see, in an aquarium designed to allow the fish to behave as they would in the wild.
Exhibitions
Our Commonwealth: Our Home
The first section features loans, objects and photographs from many Commonwealth countries such as New Zealand, India and Nigeria. Looking at how British views of Commonwealth countries have changed over time, through themes such as Trade, Souvenirs and Science.
The second section illustrates the lives of 20 people who came from Commonwealth countries to settle in Bolton. Their stories, photographs and objects will demonstrate and celebrate Bolton's wide diversity of communities.
Runs until August 31.
Moran Moran
Nearing Camp, Evening on the Upper Colorado River returns after a successful appearance in the 'American Sublime' exhibition at Tate Britain. Alongside is the recent acquisition, the watercolour, The River Schuylkill.
Runs until Autumn.
Family Events/Children's Activities
A Commonwealth trail links the exhibition to the rest of the galleries. By examining the objects in themed boxes, see if you can identify their country of origin.
There are children's drop art activities relating to the exhibition, available every Saturday following a variety of themes from 10.30am to 3.30pm. Admisison free. For more information ring Educational Services on 332245.
African Drumming - What are the drums saying?

Centenary Celebrations
Join in the special events and activities throughout the day, marking 100 years since Lord Leverhulme opened the Hall as a museum for the people of Bolton on Sunday, July 21.
Archaeology Weekend
Go on a treasure trail, mini dig, or try building wattle and daub wallking, plus lots of other activities as part of National Archaeology Days 2002 on Saturday, July 27 and Sunday, July 28.
