IT'S not so much London life this week as Cornish life. I've been in Newquay filming for T4 and, for the sake of my art, threw myself -- body and soul -- into the whole "beach thang".
Actually, I threw myself into the sea because I went surfing, you see. Wet suit, surf board, the lot. I rode the crest of a wave -- the original Bolton beach boy.
And, you know what? I really enjoyed it. The experts from the O'Neill surf team helped keep me from drowning, but to see how I fared, watch T4 next Sunday. I'm sure you'll be suitably impressed!
I'm off to Glastonbury this weekend and I can't wait. I've been down there for the last three events and loved it. This year we've rented a cottage. Tent? You must be joking. I like my home comforts too much. Where would I plug the kettle in if I was living in a tent for a couple of days? Anyway, if any of you are heading down Glastonbury way, come and say hello if you see me. I'll be the one in the wet suit.
On the social front, Tess and I went out to dinner last Sunday to one of our favourite local restaurants.
We met up with our mates, James Redmond, my co-presenter June Sarpong and Tess's co-presenter, Brian Dowling. We had loads of laughs with Brian around. He's one of the funniest people I know.
I interviewed Isla Fisher the other day. She plays Mary Jane in the new Scooby Doo film and, if you didn't know, is the current girlfriend of Sasha Baron Cohen, alias Ali G.
Isla was lovely and didn't even flinch when I asked if she makes Sasha dress up as Ali. But that's another story. See y'all next week!
