A JAMAICAN who had only been living in Bolton for six weeks told police how he sold crack cocaine and heroin on the town's streets.
Kennard McKenzie was one of four men arrested during a drugs swoop on two flats in Bradford Street, The Haulgh, in January.
Police found £21,000 worth of crack cocaine and heroin and £7,000 in cash.
In a statement read to Bolton Crown Court yesterday, McKenzie admitted he had been making substantial amounts of money from drug dealing.
He had prepared ready-wrapped deals of crack cocaine and heroin which he then sold to addicts.
McKenzie said drug users knew him as Paul and would call him on his mobile phone telling him what they wanted.
He would then meet them, usually in a nearby back street, where he would sell crack cocaine for £20 a deal, and £10 bags of heroin.
In his interview he said some of the crack cocaine, heroin and cash found in his flat was his, but other drugs and money were not his. He said that some of the money found in his flat were his savings from drug selling, and he agreed that he had telexed money to his sister in Jamaica.
McKenzie, aged 32, Raymond Minzie, aged 40, and Barrington Laguerre, aged 40, all of Bradford Street, face two charges alleging conspiracy to supply Class A drugs. All three deny the charges.
