SINCE we are having one of the wettest summers imaginable, it is perhaps fitting that one of the chosen musicals of the season should be Singin' In The Rain.
This Olivier Award-winning production is based on that famous MGM film starring Fred Astaire as the puddle hopping hero, and tells the story of the making of the first Hollywood musical.
Featuring such classic songs as Make 'Em Laugh, Moses Supposes and, of course, Singin' In The Rain, the show will be running until July 20 and is sure to drag in the musical loving crowds off the rainy streets of the North-west into the comfy confines of the Opera House, Manchester. Hmm, if only they had staged it outside they could have saved on special effects...
