AN office joke became a reality when four employees of TXU Energy, in Bolton, decided to raise money for Christie Hospital, Manchester.
Three men volunteered to have a sponsored "hair removal" session -- which included everything from a headshave to leg waxing -- to bring in cash for the local cancer hospital.
The company matched their funds, making just over £1,000.
Robert Young had his hair shaved, Robert McMurtrie shaved off his 23-year-old beard and Andrew Sherlock had his legs waxed for the cause.
The event was staged during work time as part of the company's policy to support the community and local organisations.
