THE Bolton League will be without two of their leading players for tomorrow's game against the Central Lancs League.
Matt Parkinson and Andy Ingram have both opted to play for Walkden in their Thwaites Knockout match at Chorley which left the selectors with vacancies to fill in both the batting and bowling departments
They were meeting today to decide on replacements with one of them expected to be Jon Kerrigan of Tonge.
Meanwhile David Morris will lead a side that on paper is expected to come out winners, although the side will be well aware that the CLL have anough good players in their line-up to take them to task.
The Bolton side, however, is packed with experience, notably in the bowling department, where Ian Taylor and Mark Stewart have established themselves as one of the leading strike partnerships in league cricket.
Andy Taylor, whose tremendous bowling displays have helped propelled Horwich to the top of the table, will be called on for his left arm spin but captain Morris will be disappointed he cannot call on Parkinson, who with Taylor, would have formed an ideal left and right arm partnership.
Nevertheless, he still has Jonathan Fearick to use in his bowling attack along with Paul Rayment.
In the batting it will be interesting to see if the League stick to the original plan of using new cap Paul Stafford as a pinch hitter. He will probably open with Westhoughton's Steve Parker, although depending on the state of the game, Little Lever's Paul Rayment could also come into the frame.
