THIS week's new products include items for all the family. On a very topical theme, we have found a range of towels designed to commemorate the Commonwealth Games, which start in Manchester this month.
CHRISTY towels are renowned for their wearability. The latest design features the Commonwealth Games "Spirit of the Games" logo . The Spirit range is available in eye-catching turquoise and yellow and includes a bath towel (£20) and hand towel (£12.50). Also available is a Jacquard bath towel (£20), perfect for use at the gym, on the beach, or simply as a souvenir or gift for the avid sports fan. There is also a range to cater for children, including a robe for ages four to six (£25, above). Look out for them in the Commonwealth concession shop in Manchester's Arndale Centre, or for other stockists, ring 0845 7585252.
SCHWARTZ has come up with some brilliant ways to liven up a boring salad. Try the new dressing mixes, in single serve sachets for four people (49p), shake-on salad seasonings in handy tubs (79p), and crunchy bacon flavour bits toppings in a big value drum (£1.49). Available in all major supermarkets.
WH SMITH is not just pens and paper any more. Take a look at this trendy Little Miss Sunshine lunch bag (£7.99, left) and you will see what I mean. It's perfect for young ladies everywhere -- and doubles as a picnic bag. Also available at WH Smith is a super holiday activity case. All parents will know that travelling with children can be a nightmare. Buy this little case (£4.99) and there is enough inside to keep the little treasures busy for hours. Choose from a holiday case, Barbie, Winnie the Pooh, Action Man, Thomas and Friends or Football. Available at stores nationwide.
CLARINS has introduced a new skin care treatment. The Radiance-Plus Self Tanning Cream-Gel (£21.50, right) gives the skin essential vitamins and minerals and also gives a natural-looking glow. A word of advice though: don't forget to use the gentle facial peeling or gentle exfoliating refiner first to ensure an even application. Use it for a few days and see the difference. Available at Clarins counters in Bolton.
PENGUIN bars have been popular for as long as I can remember. Now we have Penguin Top Banana (pack of eight, from around 76p) which combines the famous biscuit with a banana flavour chocolate cream. Sound yummy. Look out for them in supermarkets.
