BOLTON MPs David Crausby and Brian Iddon have criticised a Government consultation document which suggests voluntary euthanasia could one day become legal.
The Labour members for Bolton North East and Bolton South East have both signed an Early Day Motion in Parliament accusing the Department of Health and Lord Chancellor's Department of collaborating with the Voluntary Euthanasia Society when drafting the document.
The MPs have also criticised the Government for failing to consult medical and religious groups.
Euthanasia was recently decriminalised in Holland and Belgium. However strict safeguards have been put in place to stop abuse of the system.
