A GROUP of 16 to 24-year-olds from ethnic minority communities were awarded certificates for their achievement in completing a Youth Career Foundation Programme to develop life skills.
The achievement was recognised at the Connexions board meeting with a certificate presentation ceremony. Margaret Blenkinsop, director of education and culture and Cllr Laurence Williamson presented the certificates to the trainees.
Trainees will be registering as volunteers and enrolling on to appropriate mainstream courses to become qualified workers.
