IN response to Mrs P Ellison's letter about noisy taxis, alarms and loud music from cars - we have a similar problem in Eagley. While the closure of Hough Lane/Eagley Way has improved safety immensely in the area, taxis and 'drop-offs' are causing a lot of noise at all hours. I e-mailed the licencing department at the council about three weeks ago to bring the problem to their attention, but they must be busy as I have not had the courtesy of a reply!
