A PENSIONER sheds a tear as she is finally given a chance to say goodbye to the little sister she lost 62 years ago.
Grace Baker, aged 74, had searched for years to find the grave of Hetty Dye, who died in 1940, aged 10.
They had both been brought up at the Crowthorn orphanage, in Edgworth.
Hetty was laid to rest in one of two unmarked graves at the front of the village's methodist church.
Another 47 children who died at the orphanage between 1875 and 1941 were also buried there, their final resting place forgotten.
However, research by a former Crowthorn employee revealed where the graves were and the children's names.
Yesterday, their lives were remembered in a touching service which unveiled a headstone in their memory.
