THE family of a disabled man who died in a kitchen fire are questioning why his wallet has never been found. Alexander O'Gorman, aged 53, died on December 22 after a fire at his flat in Cross Street, Bolton. But at a Bolton inquest his family questioned why no money was found in his home -- despite the fact that he died shortly after drawing his pension.
Mr O' Gorman's aunt Catherine McGuinness told the coroner: "No money was in the flat and he always had a wallet with him. There was not even any change there." The inquest heard that Mr O'Gorman died after his clothing caught fire from a burning grill pan which eventually burnt itself out. It was several days before his body was found by a caretaker. Coroner Jennifer Leeming recorded a verdict of accidental death.
