A CONTROVERSIAL pilot scheme abolishing the second post began in east Manchester and St Helens in Merseyside today.
The areas are two of 14 selected postcode areas to receive only one delivery per day as part of a shake up to cut more than £1billion of losses.
The scheme is part of a plan to return the Consignia group to profitability.
