STAFF at Bolton music Service hit the right note when they organised a play day for more than 200 young musicians.
Violinists from local primary schools gathered at the Victoria Halls for extra tuition. They rehearsed all morning with professional tutors and then performed a concert for family and friends.
Music Service spokesman Liz Forrest said: "It took a lot of hard work to organise and pupils came from all over Bolton. But it was well worth the effort.
"It was an excellent day and a wonderful experience for all the children. They learned new skills and thoroughly enjoyed themselves."
