Bolton League U13s won their first game of three in the Peak Sports Trophy Interleague competition beating the Saford and District League at Bradshaw.
The Bolton League won the toss and put the Salford League in to bat. It wasn't long before the League's opening bowlers struck. Chris Wilson bowling one of Salfords openers, the very next ball another wicket fell caught superbly by Halliday the keeper.Chris finished his hat trick of by gaining his third wicket caught by Dearnley his Bradshaw team mate. Chris finished with figures of 8 overs 3 maidens, 8 runs for 6 wickets truly a fine performance at interleague level. After a small come back by Salford , they finished on 106 all out. After tea Bolton went into bat , but things didn't go to plan. Cummings went in the second over and was shortly followed by Chris Wilson.The league struggled to get runs with a good bowling attack from Salford, but the innings was steadied by Houghton and Parry who steered the league towards their win , with some good controlled batting, finishing on 37 and 22 respectively. This was a good performance by the Bolton League even though they had several players out due to holiday's.
