TROOPS from the Territorial Army are to fly out to Afghanistan to help the British military operation.
The 40 soldiers from Lancashire and Cumbria are being given specialist training and will leave in September. The Lancastrian and Cumbrian Volunteers will act a a "guard force" for 400 British troops.
