TONGE have taken over as the new leaders of the Bolton League following their seven wicket win over Eagley on Sunday and the defeat of Walkden at Horwich.
Horwich, who beat Egerton, are second, while other results brought wins for Astley Bridge over Farnworth, Farnworth SC against Heaton, Greenmount at Little Lever, while the match between Westhoughton and Bradshaw was drawn.
In the Association, Walshaw and Spring View both won to stay first and second while Daisy Hill won their first game of the season beating Standish. There were also wins for Lostock against Darcy Lever and Blackrod over Golborne with draws in the games between Clifton and Edgworth and Little Hulton and A & T.
