SAM Allardyce will take a second look at two Premiership hopefuls tonight.

The trialists, goalkeeper Sebastian Chabbaret from the French club Lens and the striker Junior from Treze in Brazil, get another chance to show their potential when Wanderers take on Bulgaria's UEFA Cup entrants Litex Lovech in the second game of their Italian tour in the picturesque alpine town of Bormio.

The French goalkeeper and the Brazilian striker are expected to start the game which will present an infinitely tougher test than Sunday's 13-0 mismatch against a local representative side.

That is a prospect that pleases the Reebok boss, who now wants to see his players stretched after being eased into their pre-season programme.

"The Bulgarians are a good side and it will be a tough game for us," he forecast, "just what we need.

"Their season starts on August 1 so they are ahead of us in terms of pre-season work.

"I'm just looking for a good workout for the squad."

Paul Warhurst comes in for his first appearance after missing Sunday's game as a precaution after picking up a slight injury in training.

The midfield anchor man, who goes into the new season with a fresh two-year contract, has been named in a provisional starting 11 but Allardyce is again expected to ring the changes to give the majority of his squad a runout.

The only players unlikely to figure are his trio of World Cup players -- Frenchman Youri Djorkaeff and Nigerian Jay Jay Okocha, who are lined up to appear in Saturday's game against Internazionale in Reggiana, and the Dane Stig Tofting, who is injured -- plus Mike Whitlow and Jeff Smith, who sat out yesterday afternoon's training session with ankle and thigh injuries respectively.

Wanderers will begin the game in their familiar 4-3-3 fashion with a starting line-up of Chabbaret, Richardson, N'Gotty, Bergsson, Charlton, Johnson, Warhurst, Farrelly, Hansen, Pedersen and Junior.

Mendy, Barness, Nolan, Gardner, Frandsen, Southall, Baldacchino, Facey and Ricketts all expected to figure at some stage.
