BINGO fans may have hit the jackpot with a planned change in the law that could mean bigger cash prizes.
The shake-up in bingo regulations is included in Government proposals before Parliament.
They include upping the maximum prize in games of multiple bingo from £500,000 to £2 million and increasing the aggregate weekly prize in linked bingo -- played in a group of clubs -- to £500,000.
The proposals came in response to the Budd Report, "A Safe Bet for Success", which was published in March. New regulations will also allow casinos in England and Wales to offer live entertainment if Parliament agrees.
