YOUNGSTERS from a school which won a coveted arts award have staged a production of Pinocchio.
All 210 pupils at St Mary's Church of England Primary School, Deane, starred in the show, based on the children's story about the boy puppet who comes alive.
It was performed for parents last week before school finished for the summer holidays.
Staff worked hard making costumes for every cast member.
The Edale Road school was recently presented with an Artsmark from the Arts Council for its commitment to the subject.
Nursery teacher Margaret Flannery said: "All the children were very excited and lots of hard work went into the show."
