Biker still in intensive care
A MOTORCYCLIST left seriously injured in a head-on collision with another bike at an accident blackspot is in a stable condition today at the Royal Preston Hospital.
Renolds Withnell, aged 30, of Hartley Street, Horwich, remains in an intensive care unit with multiple fractures and severe internal injuries following the collision in Egerton Road, Belmont, on Sunday.
A police spokesman said a Honda 400 bike collided with Mr Withnell's Yamaha 426 bike as it rounded a bend, throwing him onto the road. A third bike then ploughed into the wreckage. The two other motorcyclists, from Wigan, also suffered serious injuries.
