I KNOW that many churches still have their annual Walks, but the days when all the churches formed a huge parade through town on Trinity Sunday have long disappeared.
Perhaps these photographs, taken on Bradshawgate in about 1935 (the name Balmoral Hotel is the clue) and sent to me by Mrs E. Bentley, of Ivy Bank Road, Sharples, will help you remember those days.
