BOLTON'S Andrew Buchan is one of 34 students chosen, out of more than 1,400, to be offered a place at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.
RADA is one of the best known acting training grounds in the world, but before Andrew, aged 22, can take up the offer, he is seeking sponsorship totalling £5,100 to cover the cost of attending the course.
He has been offered a three-year acting degree course and he and his family are fundraising to enable him to cover his term time living costs in London.
Nicholas Barter, principal of the Academy, said: "Andrew is a talented young man and has won his place here following a very competitive three-stage audition process.
"I urge anyone with sufficient resources, who is able to offer financial assistance to this talented local young man, to do so in the knowledge that they are investing in the theatre of the future."
Anyone able to help should contact Andrew on 01204 494177.
