KYLE HOGG, hero of Lancashire's Tuesday night win against Hampshire, missed his fourth straight Championship game for the county today because of his England under-19 commitments in Cardiff.
As on Tuesday, Hampshire were without John Crawley because of his England call-up, which left Lancashire skipper Warren Hegg doubly delighted.
"I'm really pleased for John, because I know how much it will mean to him," said Hegg.
"But it's also a bonus for us, because I know our bowlers weren't looking forward to bowling at the middle of his bat."
It means Crawley's eagerly awaited first match against Lancashire will be delayed until at least Tuesday week, when Hampshire come to Old Trafford for another floodlit National League game.
