BUS passengers in Bolton can get up-to-the-minute travel information at the touch of a button.
Two permanent electronic information points have been installed at Bolton Moor Lane Bus Station and at Bolton Interchange.
Cllr Guy Harkin, the town's spokesman for the Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Executive, unveiled the machines.
They have been put in place in time for the Commonwealth Games as part of a £600,000 scheme.
Passengers can plan their journey using the new state-of-the-art touch-screen electronic points, which will give them a print out of their journey details.
Cllr Harkin said: "We are always working hard to improve the availability of information about public transport.
"Information points will prove to be a valuable tool for travellers well beyond the Games, particularly when there may not be staff on hand to offer advice and information."
