A MEMORIAL dedicated to a police officer who was killed by a car thief was due to be unveiled today as a tribute to the first female officer to die in the line of duty for Greater Manchester Police.
Police Constable Alison Armitage, of Oldham, died in March last year after being run over twice by a stolen car in Hollinwood.
The driver, 19-year-old Thomas Whaley, was jailed for manslaughter.
