INTER Milan coach Hector Cuper has offered few clues as to the strength of the team that will play against Wanderers in Saturday night's friendly at Reggiana.

There has been speculation that Christian Vieiri will be given some much-needed match practice after struggling with a weight problem since returning from World Cup duty with Italy.

But Ronaldo will definitely not figure. The hero of Brazil's spectacular triumph in Japan has been given an extended break by his club bosses and is only due to return to the Nerazzurri on August 6.

And there have been suggestions (the lack of information released by Cuper apparently leaves the Italian media little option but to speculate) that the team Wanderers face will be the "prima vera" - reserves, youngsters and the best of the rest - much like the line-up that drew 0-0 with Benfica on Sunday night.

Nevertheless, the fact that Wanderers have been able to secure a prestige friendly against one of the most famous club sides in the world is an indication of their recently-acquired Premiership status.

And whatever the strength of the Internazionale side, Sam Allardyce knows the Italians have such a depth to their star-studded cosmopolitan squad that they can dig deep and still field a powerful team.

The Wanderers' boss would relish seeing his players pitting their wits and skills against the likes of Vieri, Conceicao, Di Biaggio and Zannetti but reckons: "Whoever they play, we are delighted to have been invited to play Inter Milan and are really looking forward to the game, which promises to be the toughest test of what has been a successful pre-season trip to Italy."
