Rio gives Premiership odds a shake-up
SO the inevitable sale of Rio Ferdinand has finally happened and I think he can develop into possibly the best centre half in the world.
But for £30m he should be!
As a result of the transfer I've put Leeds out to 25/1 to win the Premier (and that's the best price in the country).
Current Premiership prices are: Man Utd evens, Arsenal 7/4, Liverpool 7/2, Chelsea 18/1, Leeds 25/1.
Bolton are again being linked with new faces. Tore-Andre Flo and Ivan Campo are the latest names to be linked with the Wanderers. Will all this transfer activity help them beat the drop?
I'm still smarting after paying out over 60 grand on Bolton beating the drop last season.
Current relegation prices are:- West Brom 2/5, Birmingham 8/11, Bolton 6/5, Charlton 9/4, Southampton 3/1.
The Commonwealth Games are finally under way, it is a tournament with short priced favourites. We've had loads of enquires ranging from judo and table tennis to athletics.
It seems like a lot of people know somebody who is competing and have asked for a price on their mate or neighbour winning a medal. It is fantastic for Manchester to stage such a massive sporting event, one which I am sure will be a complete success, and I'd like to wish good luck to all the English athletes taking part.
All the prices quoted in my column are correct at the time of going to print. More prices are available at all Done Bookmakers throughout the area.
