THE Bolton League and Association go head to head at Darcy Lever on Sunday in the annual Trinity Cup match.
Although the competition currently has no sponsor following the withdrawal of Danesco, the two leagues decided to continue with the Trinity name until new backers can found.
The format is the same, each of the two leagues fielding three professonals in their line-up.
And it is the Association's choice of professionals that could hold the key to the game.
The men chosen are Bazid Khan of Astley & Tyldesley, Arindam Sarker from Standish and Atherton's new recruit Mihar Diwakar.
The 19-year-old Indian is something of an unknown quantity but has had a terrific introduction to the local cricket scene.
"He's a bit sharp and move the ball around a bit," said Association selector Steve Walsh. "The other good thing about him is that he's also a smashing bat. For his age, he really does look a good player."
The rest of the side is made up of players who helped the Association beat the Northern League a couple of weeks ago to reach the final of the MEN inter-league competition yet it is that success that could work against them.
The League, having failed to make it an all Bolton final when they suffered defeat at the hands of the Central Lancs League, are now using this game as the chance to try and re-establish themselves as the town's top cricket outfit.
"We were so disappointed not to make the final so you can imagine how we will be approaching this game," said League selector Derek Kay.
Their professionals for the game are Tonge's Adil Nisar, paceman Fazel Akber of Kearsley and Greenmount's Robin Morris.
The inclusion of Akber gives the League the chance to give Mark Stewart a break and the Pakistan bowler will open up the bowling attack with Ian Taylor of Tonge.
Paul Stafford of Astley Bridge gets another chance after missing out with a good score in the semi-final while Walkden's Matt Parkinson and Phil Ingram are also back in the side.
Admission is £1.50 adults, 75p concessions.
