A PUB manager has been giving his staff a bit of a rest.
The workers turned from bar attendants into couch potatoes at the Bartom Arms, in Worsley, as they staged a sponsored sofa sit for 24 hours.
The team of four volunteers snuggled up together for the day on one of the pub's comfy leather settees to raise money for Christie Hospital, Manchester.
The team members were sponsored for every hour they remained on the sofa. They were due to finish the challenge today.
Manager Ian Glenholme said: "Our guests are always commenting on our sofas so we decided to take inspiration from this in creating a wacky fund-raising idea."
Apart from a 15-minute break every three hours, the volunteers had to have one part of their body touching the sofa at all times.
The pub is aiming to raise more than £250 when all the money is collected.
