WANDERERS completed their three-match tour of Italy with a creditable 2-0 defeat at the hands of Inter Milan.
The prestige friendly took place in Reggio Emilia - the home of Reggiana - and followed two wins - 13-0 against a Bormio Representative Xl and 2-1 against the Bulgarian UEFA Cup entrants Litex Lovech.
Manager Sam Allardyce as already hailed the Italian trip a success, chiefly because of facilities and the benefits of altitude training.
The game was goal-less at the interval then Inter took charge with goals from Bernardo Corradi and Uruguyan midfield star Alvaro Recob.
