THE mother of a disabled youngster is so fed up of trying to find somewhere for her daughter to play that she has booked a day out for other children and their parents.
Beverley Mortimer dreads the summer holidays as her daughter Jayne struggles to play outside because of her disabilities.
Jayne's respite carer is campaigning for better play facilities in Bolton and says she has to travel as far away as Wigan to find a playground suitable for disabled youngsters.
Beverley, of Chorley Old Road, has booked a minibus for a day out to the Space multi-sensory centre in Preston which has all sorts of play equipment for children with special physical needs.
Jayne, aged six, was born with part of her brain missing and epilepsy and suffers from partial paralysis in one arm.
There are six seated spaces and one wheelchair space left on the minibus trip from Bolton on Wednesday, August 28.
Tickets cost £23 which will cover the cost of the child and carer on the bus and into Space.
Beverley is also hoping the group will be able to eat lunch in Preston before spending the afternoon in Fleetwood or Southport.
